Projects / Kitchen ventilation that cleans itself
Lynx Kitchen
Lynx Kitchen is a spinout from the InnSep technology, developed for ventilation in commercial kitchens.

- Category
- Kitchen ventilation that cleans itself
- Status
- Commercialisation / installations / partner development
- Problem
- Grease in ventilation ducts causes fire risk, maintenance, energy loss and a poorer working environment in commercial kitchens. Duct cleaning is often done by the calendar and not by the actual condition.
- Solution
- Lynx Kitchen is a centrifugal grease separator that cleans itself. It is mounted in the exhaust air before the duct and the fan. A rotating mesh spins grease and liquid droplets out of the air stream and drains them continuously.
- Technical data
- Lynx Kitchen states 75 to 314 G centrifugal force and 100 % separation of liquid particles down to 0.3 micron. The connection is 230 V, the power is 90 W and the capacity is 850 m³/h per unit.
- Documentation
- The solution is documented through laboratory measurements, field installations and an external risk assessment. Lynx Kitchen states five years of uninterrupted operation without duct cleaning at El Rincon.
- Calculators
- Customers can run the numbers on their own kitchen with the energy calculator and the sizing calculator at lynxkitchen.com/calculator.
- The role of IMISU
- IMISU manages the technology and is responsible for commercialisation. The work covers partner structure, licensing, market and further scaling.
- Wanted partners
- Ventilation companies, installers, commercial kitchens, property owners, insurers, industrial partners and investors.
